Rosalie A. Rose Truskowski

1939 - 2013

Rosalie A. Rose Truskowski, 73, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Hospice House.

Born in Milwaukee, Wis., in 1939, she was the daughter of the late Anton and Anna Bozich. She attended Milwaukee schools and was a graduate of South Division High School.

On Sept. 23, 1961, at St. Matthews Catholic Church, Milwaukee, she was united in marriage to Anthony Truskowski. After their marriage, they made Kenosha their new home.

For 31 years, Rose was employed as the Executive Sales Secretary for Alfa Laval Tri-Clover, Inc., retiring in December, 1995. She was previously employed with the City of Milwaukee Water Engineering Division and the Milwaukee School Board.

She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and Women of the Moose. Rose was an activist and was involved in many civic matters; especially Kenoshans Against Medical Waste Incinerators (KAMWI). She was an avid dancer and loved line dancing, polka dancing and ballroom dancing. Rose met her husband Anthony on the dance floor at the Eagles Club in Milwaukee. She enjoyed Tai Chi exercises and attending picnics at Triglav Slovenian Park.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Anthony; the Rosalie Angels including her three nieces, Sandra (Donald) Riggs, Karen (Dennis) DuChene, and Susan (Peter) Christy; her special nephew, Steven (Bonny) Truskowski; her brother-in-law, Jerry (Carol) Truskowski; her three sisters-in-law, Sharon Truskowski, Elaine Nichols and Arline Bozich; and many additional loving nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Bozich.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum. A visitation for Rose will be held on Tuesday, May 14, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
