Rosemary Rose Rasch-Behm
1929 - 2013
Rosemary Rose Rasch-Behm, 84 of Kenosha, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at Hospitality Nursing surrounded by her loving family.
Born May 6, 1929 in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the Margaret (Rosenberg) Heether.
She married Donald C. Rasch in 1950 and he preceded her in death in February 1968. In 1974, Rose married Arlyn Ben Behm and he passed away in 1981.
She will be most remembered for owning and operating Roses Tap for twenty years; having the best hot beef sandwiches along with excellent service and her friendly smile. Prior to that, Rose worked as a cashier for 15 years at Sentry Food Store.
She was a member of the VFW and the Women of the Moose club. Rose enjoyed traveling, bowling, playing cards and gambling.
Survivors include her five children, Larry (Linda) Rasch of Pl. Prairie, Kathy (Cliff) Anderson of Racine, Donna (John Bruns) Rasch of Kenosha, Jean (Jim) Van Caster of Kenosha, Kenneth (Tracy) Rasch of Pl. Prairie; her eight grandchildren, Tina ( Bryan) Yakel, Jason (April) Rasch, Rachael Sicilia, Brad Van Caster, Mark Van Caster and Ben, Steve and Leah Rasch along with her three great-grandchildren, Robyn and Brenna Yakel and Caleb Rasch.
Rose was preceded in death by her mother and her husbands.
A special thank you to the staff at Hospitality Nursing and Seasons Hospice for their loving care of Rose.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at
10 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 2224 30th Ave. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church. Interment will take place in St. George Cemetery. A visitation for Rose will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.
