Sidney Richard Bedore

1926 - 2012

Sidney Richard Bedore, 86, of Winter Haven, Fla., passed away Nov. 9, 2012, at Good Shepard Hospice.

Sidney was born on May 31, 1926, to the late Frank and Esther (Hopson) Bedore. Sidney attended local schools, and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He resided in Kenosha, Racine and Winter Haven, Fla., since 1989. Sidney served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Pacific. He retired from J.I. Case a division of Tenneco, Inc., after 24 years as Manager, Systems and Data Processing; General Manager Service Parts; and Manager Parts and Service, AG Retail Enterprises. He was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church, he was also a member of Masonic Lodge 92 in Racine; the Scottish Rite Valley of Milwaukee; the Tripoli Shrine of Milwaukee; the Winter Haven Shrine Club and the American Legion Post 9 of Winter Haven. Sid was an accomplished and avid golfer for many years.

Sidney is survived by his spouse, Frances Radke Bedore of Winter Haven, Fla.; children, Susan L. Wind of DeForest, Wis.; Rick K. and Gail L. (Naden) Bedore of Kenosha, Wis.; step-daughters, Sandra Riggenbach of McHenry, Ill., and Barbara Pottinger Friendswood, TX.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Joe Bedore.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Frances Zuba and Mary Lee Hultenius.
