Thomas W. Tom Oas
1941 - 2013
Thomas Tom W. Oas, 71, a former resident of Arlington Heights and now of Plainfield, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013. He was born on Nov. 5, 1941, in Kenosha, Wis. Tom earned his B.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater, and his Masters degree in public health administration from the University of Minnesota. He worked for the Logan County and Southern Seven Health Departments, and retired in 2004 as Director of Health Services for the Village of Arlington Heights. He was also a member of the Elks, Rotary, and Jaycees as well as other community and professional organizations. Tom was an avid Green Bay Packers Fan!
Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon (nee Muenich); his loving children, Steve Oas and Lisa (Eric) Munson. He was the cherished grandfather of Hailey and Connor Munson, dear brother of Richard (Bennie) and Jean (Ralph) Antes. He was the uncle of many nephews and nieces.
A private memorial visitation will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013. Arrangements by Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes & Crematory, 24021 Royal Worlington Drive, Naperville. Interment private.
