Venry L. Aiello

1921 - 2013

Venry L. Aiello, 91, of Kenosha, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Kindred South in Kenosha surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Kenosha on Oct. 7, 1921, to the late Venry and Rose (Butera) Aiello. He was a lifelong resident of Kenosha.

On July 21, 1945, he married Josephine R. Fumo at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on Feb. 21, 2007.

Venry was in the United States Army during World War II, serving from October 27, 1942, until his honorable discharge on Oct. 5, 1945. He received the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Service Medal and the Purple Heart.

For over 62 years he was the owner and operator of Venrys Barbershop. He was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. He had been past President of Rotary West and founded Sunrise Rotary, he had been past President of The Library Board; during his term both North and Southwest library buildings were built. He also was involved in many other civic organizations.

Surviving are his daughter, Lauren J. Aiello of Kenosha; his two sons, David J. (Janet) Aiello of Kenosha and Thomas J. (Pamela) Aiello of Delavan; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 8, at St. Marys Catholic Church at 1:30p.m. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be held on Monday at St. Marys Catholic Church from 12 noon until the time of the Mass.
