JOHNSON, HERBERT M. - age 88, of Lenoir City, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at the Parkwest Medical Center. Herb was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the Naval Air Transport Division during WWII. He was an avid gardener and fisherman. Herb was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lenoir City. He worked as an electrician for 33 years at ORNL and was a member of IBEW Electricians Union #760 of Knoxville for over 65 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Faye Ramey Johnson; son, Jimmy Johnson; parents, J. D. and Edith Johnson; brothers, Leon and Harold Johnson. Survived by his sons, Jerry D. Johnson and Herbert Allan Johnson and wife, Kathy; grandchildren, Chris Caldwell and wife, Jill, Quinna Hatfield and husband, Dusty, Hayden Johnson and Levi Johnson; great grandchildren, Ramey, Jonas and Townsend Hatfield, Noah, Caleb and Faith Caldwell; brother, Forrest Johnson and wife, Anna Lou; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Family and friends will gather at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, at the funeral home and proceed to the Lakeview Cemetery for graveside services at 11:30 a.m. with Dr. Dick DeMerchant and Rev. Chris Caldwell officiating. Military honors will be conferred by the Loudon Co. Veterans Honor Guard.
