BRANTLEY, LARRY - age 59, of Clinton passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at Tennova Hospice. Larry was born and raised in Clarkston, Michigan, and graduated from Oakland University and later received his masters of science at the University of Michigan. He worked for Department of Defense at both Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Later Larry went to work for the Department of Energy in Oak Ridge, Gaseous Diffusion Plant in Paducah, Kentucky, and until his illness Larry worked at Y-12 as an industrial hygienist. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and enjoyed fishing with his son. Larry will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to know him. Preceded in death by father, George C. Brantley. He is survived by: mother, Betty Sue Brantley of Clarkston, MI; wife, Kristine Donaldson Brantley of Clinton; son, Clinton Brantley and wife Stefani of Knoxville; brother, Jeffrey Brantley and wife Ronda of Clarkston, MI; sisters, Laura Leroy and husband Chip of Waxhaw, NC, Jennifer Brantley of Waterford, MI; aunt; Karen Newbauer of Swartz reek, MI; uncle, James Hazel of Davison, MI; best four legged friend, Norris; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Saturday, December 7, 2013. at Holley Gamble Funeral Home with memorial services to follow in the chapel.
