WALKER, OLYNE BOLES - age 95, passed away Monday, April 29, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Verlie Walker; grandson, Scott Walker; parents, Wheeler and Sophie Boles; sister, Eloise Wells; and brothers, Harley and Champ Boles. She is survived by her two sons, Johnny Walker and Doug Walker (wife Andra); three grandchildren, Jeff Walker, Michael Walker (wife Ashley) and Mary Ann Walker; and two great-grandchildren, Logan Walker and Harrison Walker. She is also survived by former daughter-in-law Martha Walker (Jeff's mother); and nephew David Wells (wife Kathy) and niece, Ruth Ann Wells. She was a long-time member of Second United Methodist Church, Knoxville, and attended regularly until her health failed her. She was a member of Bearden Chapter #437 of the Eastern Star and a Knox County School teacher for many years. Her last few years of teaching were spent at Rocky Hill Elementary. During her retirement, she loved to travel with her friends and did so as long as health would allow. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 - 6:30 pm at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel, 6200 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, with Rev. M.C. Taylor of Second United Methodist Church officiating. A funeral service will follow at 6:30 pm. Family and friends will gather at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment on Thursday at 10:30 am.
