LILLY, REXFORD (REX) - 95, went to be with the Lord on April 17, 2014. His wife, Mary Siegenthaler Lilly, preceded him in death in 2005. He had declined after a short bout of pneumonia. He is survived by his sons, Bob, Rick and Randy Lilly, all who live in Knoxville. He is also survived by his two daughters-in-law, Carol Lilly and Connie Lilly; grandchildren, Christie Miller (and husband Eric), Erin Lilly, Katie Jones (and husband Brian), Mark Lilly, Kimberlee Lilly and Micayla Lilly. He is also survived by great grandchildren, Christian Miller, Callie Miller and Elise Jones. Rex was born in Beaver, West Virginia. Rex was a World War II veteran and served in the Air Force. He attended Trinity College in Florida, become an ordained minister and served as pastor in the Knoxville area for over 30 years. After retiring from the ministry, Rex took a position with Walmart at the Clinton Highway store, where he made many friends. Rex retired from Walmart in 2007 and spent the rest of his time at his residence. The family will receive friends on Saturday April 19, 2014, from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Pastor Kent Williams officiating. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Monday, April 21, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. in Highland Memorial Park. Please sign the online register for Rev.
