MCKINLEY, SARAH SCOTT - age 87, of Knoxville, formerly of Jacksonville, Florida, left her earthly home in the early morning hours of Sunday, January, 26, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Sarah was a retired elementary school teacher and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Sarah, with her beloved husband, Reverend Rudolph McKinley, was a member of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Geraldine Scott of Unadilla, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Mary Scott; sisters and brother-in-law, Dean and Tom McDonald and Willene Scott. Sarah is survived by her husband, Rudolph; son and daughter-in-law, Rudy and Janice McKinley; son, Duane McKinley; grandchildren, Scott McKinley (Amanda) of Lakeland, FL; great grandchildren Madison and Avery McKinley; nieces and nephews, Mary Holden (Harold) Dunaway, Gerry Lane Busby, Bill (Brenda) Scott, Michael (Clair) McDonald, Carol (Robert) Fudge, Joan (Jerry) Newsome, Betty Childs, Iris (Jim) Dale, and Jim (Nida) Balcom. The family request that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to East Tennessee Children's Hospital, 2018 Clinch Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37916. Online condolences may be sent to www.rosemortuary.com.
