HUCKABY, WILLIAM "BILL" OVERTON, III - 68, died on September 28, 2013, at Lakeway Regional Hospital. Bill was born in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. Bill received his B.A. (Mathematics) from David Lipscomb University, and his M.A. (Mathematics) and Ph.D. (Educational Leadership) from George Peabody College of Vanderbilt University. Twenty-five years ago, he and Ann were among the co-founders of Project Graduation in Morristown. In addition to having a brilliant mind, he was an accomplished artist, musician, teacher, and craftsman. The beauty he brought to the world with his gifts was given freely. He believed in standing for the right thing, even if he stood alone. Bill was passionate about experiencing the world and had an insatiable desire to invest and immerse himself in other cultures. He and Ann began travelling together shortly after they were married in July of 1968. After experiencing all 50 states, their travels took them to Canada, Japan, China, Peru, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and most European countries. During his career, he spent time working in both Brazil and Mexico. Not only were Bill's world travels about his personal experience, but also about finding ways to share those experiences with others.
