Aguirre, Adolfo "Fito"
August 17, 1929 - August 2, 2012
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and veteran, who earned his angel wings at 82 years young. He joined both his late wife, Stella, and the Lord in heaven while surrounded by those dearest to him. He enlisted in the Army during the Korean War and ultimately became a member of the respected 82nd Airborne. As co-founder of Hope for a Cure Guild, he spread community awareness about T1 Diabetes. Fito, a devout Catholic, gathered strength through his faith. Survived by his 5 children: Elisa Ketelsleger, Tony Aguirre, Lucy Michaud, Andrew Aguirre, and Margo Davis; 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, all of whom love and admire him dearly. The family gathers strength in knowing God's promise, that one day they will be reunited with the man who taught them all of life's important lessons.
