February 26, 1924 - December 16, 2013 Born: Feb 26, 1924 in Tucson, Arizona. Daniel proudly served in the US Army in the 101st Airborne 501 in WWII; campaigns included the Normandy invasion, Operation Market Garden in Holland, Bastogne and the occupation of Eagles Nest in Berchtesgaden. During the War he received the Bronze Star Medal and two Purple Hearts. Attended Oxford University in England, received a law degree from USC. Daniel loved his practice of law and spent his free time traveling throughout the world with his wife and children. Daniel's endless sense of humor and generous heart will be missed by his family and the many friends he so loved. Daniel was predeceased by sons John and Danny. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Norma Med Olney, daughters Susan Bruner (Todd) and Nonie McMahon (Noel), grandchildren Michelle Goeden (Jerry), David Denton (Tiffany), Danielle McMahon and great grandchildren JJ, Brooke, Cambria and Kaylin. A private Celebration of Dan's life will be held in January. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations can be made in Dan's honor at Homes for Our Troops - www.hfotusa.org.
