November 16, 1921 - February 10, 2014 Dan was a man of integrity, intellect and humor who was loved by everyone whose life he touched. He was born in Detroit, MI and moved to Los Angeles as a teen. He attended Fairfax High, UCLA and USC. Dan was an insurance executive with Safeco, Allianz and 20th Century insurance companies, working in his chosen field for 40 years. Few people had the amazing set of character traits Dan possessed--honesty, modesty, loving, faithful, charitable, patriotic, devout-- attributes that were effortless for him. He proudly served in WWII in India and China. He is survived by his loving wife, Florence, of over 64 years of marriage, his daughter Sharon (Roy Landstrom), his son Michael (Kathy Graber), and his grandsons Matthew and Evan Landstrom and Zachary Graber. We will forever miss his loving ways, advice and counsel, his cooking and enjoyment in good meals, and his zest for life. Donations can be made to Jewish War Veterans of USA at jwv.org.
