September 2, 1927 - June 27, 2014 Doris Janice (Jan) Rehberg passed away peacefully to meet her Lord and Savior on June 27, 2014 in Arcadia, CA. She was 86 ½ years old. She was born in Plover, Iowa, on September 2, 1927. She graduated from Estherville, IA High School in 1946. In 1950, she completed nurses training from the University of Iowa. In November 1950, Jan married Forrest G. Rehberg of Jesup, Iowa. In 1951, they moved to Los Angeles (to Monterey Park in 1958), where she worked as a nurse in several hospitals in the LA area. Jan was a loving homemaker, business partner (Rehart Engineering & Mfg. Co.) with her husband, and a discharge planner at San Gabriel Community Hospital. As a Christ-follower, she had been active as a servant-leader in many church and community positions. She will be sorely missed as a faithful wife, mother, grandmother, nurse, church/community leader, avid musician and Lakers' fan. She is survived by her son Colonel (ret) Carl D. Rehberg, USAF, Ph.D. and daughter-in-law Beverly P. Rehberg. Jan also is survived by her grandchildren Laura, Kristina, and Kathryn; her older sister Marilyn Mather; her younger sister Kay Carignan. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Our Savior Lutheran Church, Arcadia, CA, or the Monterey Park Women's Club. Burial Services will be held on July 3, at Live Oak Memorial Park, Monrovia, CA. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, July 26, at 11:00AM at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 512 West Duarte Road, Arcadia, CA 91007.
