GREGORY, Elvera Josephine Age 92, of Los Angeles, died Aug. 17, in Montrose, Colorado. Elvera was born Oct. 7, 1920 to Severin and Christina (Orheim) Lindquist in Los Angeles. She grew up there, and went on to UCLA, receiving her degree in education. She married Robert William Gregory in 1947. Bob preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 2001. Edy was a teacher in the Los Angeles City Schools for 47 years. She relocated to Colorado to be closer to her family. She was a member of the Sons of Norway, North Star Lodge, and Grindelwald Ski Club. Edy was very active throughout her life traveling the world. Yosemite and Scandinavia were particularly close to her heart. Surviving family include her two sons and their wives, Randy and Kathy Gregory of Ridgway, Colorado and Kirk and Petra Gregory of Aspen, Colorado. Her grandchildren, Garrett, Knute and Haylen adored and admired her. She was preceded in death by her sister Adelyn.
