November 3, 1927 - October 4, 2013 Ernestine Alice Singer, a longtime resident of Orange County, passed away on October 4, 2013 at the age of 85. She was born on November 3, 1927 in New York to parents Lottie and Maurice Brandstatter. Ernestine attended Los Angeles High School and graduated from UCLA in 1948 with a degree in Philosophy. She earned a Master's in Education, Administration Degree at Chapman University in 1974. She taught for many years in the Los Angeles and Fullerton School Districts. Ernestine is survived by her sons Gary Singer (Melanie) and Bradley Singer (Cherie), six grandchildren: Brian (Stephanie), Kimberly, and Andrew Singer, Katie Singer Rugh, Lindsay Aragon (Fernando), and Eric Singer, and three great-grandsons. She is preceded in death by brother Julius Brandstatter and sister Kate "Kitty" Roller. Private burial was held on October 9th at Pacific View Cemetery in Newport Beach.
