Frank Foti, 66, passed away peacefully at the City of Hope surrounded by his loving wife & son, following a long battle with cancer. Frank was born in Brooklyn, NY; grew up in Miami, FL; & served in the Marines during the Vietnam War. He had a long career as a character actor in TV, commercials & film, including Cheers, Becker, Pearl, War & Remembrance, & Nat'l Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. He was a long-time member of the American Legion Hollywood Post 43, Grandsons of Italy, & over 25 years in the Screen Actors Guild. Frank was a caring and lovable guy with a ready smile. A great competitor, he loved tennis, ping-pong, pool & playing guitars with his brother-in-law Chris.
Frank is survived by his wife Susan, son Frankie, sister Natalie Nevera (Ron), many sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces & nephews.
Memorial service: Monday August 5, 2 pm, American Legion Hall in Hollywood. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or the Screen Actors Guild Foundation.
