He lived his early childhood on the family Triunfo Ranch in Ventura County. Later in childhood he moved into Los Angeles, where he completed his education, graduating from UCLA. Hub married Marie, and they had two children, Richard and Barbara. Marie and Barbara predeceased Hub, however, he is survived by his son Richard, and four grandchildren and three great grandchildren; Jill and Andrew, children of Barbara, and Rich and Ryan, children of Richard. Hub's early career was as an executive with the YMCA. He later joined the family cattle and farming business, working with his father and other family on the beautiful Rancho Cuyama in Santa Barbara County. Hub and his family were all very pleased that, for many years, they had one of the finest Hereford cattle herds in the west. Hub's passions were first, his commitment to God, his wife and children, and the cattle business. He devoted much time and energy to each of these endeavors. Any contributions to Hub's memory can be directed to the YMCA or the California Cattlemen's Association, to help young people better their lives and careers. No services are planned.
