Ira Edwin Bilson, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away surrounded by those who loved him on March 26, 2014. Ira was born on May 28, 1931 in Brooklyn, New York. After graduating from NYU Law school in 1955 and passing the New York bar, Ira joined the army and served in the JAG Corp. Ira moved to California when he was discharged in 1957 and taught at Stanford University. He passed the California bar in 1958 and moved to Los Angeles where he lived the rest of his life. Ira was a certified specialist in both Taxation Law and Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Law. Ira was an avid fan of UCLA basketball and the LA Dodgers. He loved reading, art and travel and discovered the joy of cruises in his later years. Ira is survived by his wife Alberta (Stahl), children Carole Buhler, Nancy Ziolkowski (Rod), Don Bilson (Molly), Bob Stahl, Judy Baker (Curt), Howard Stahl (Michael Frese), grandchildren Elizabeth and Jacob Buhler, brother Michael (Joan), and nieces and nephews. Ira never had a negative word to say about anyone. He will be dearly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services will be held at Mount Sinai Mortuary, 5950 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles on March 30, 2014 at 10:00 AM.
