January 2, 1921 - January 27, 2014 Jim was born in Sioux City, Iowa, to Rhoda Garrigan and Paul J. Curry. The family moved to California where Jim attended USC Dental School after serving in the Army Air Force during WW2. In 1947 he married the love of his life, Jean Engelhardt in Santa Monica. Jim practiced pediatric dentistry and orthodontics in Pacific Palisades, while he and Jean raised their 5 children in the same community. He enjoyed jogging and biking to work even before it was popular. He loved tennis and golf in his retirement years in Palm Desert, Tucson and Southern California. Jim is survived by children Jim and wife Joanne Curry, Jeff and wife Mary Jane Curry, Cathy and husband Vince Thomas, Mike Curry, Mark Curry and his sister Patricia, as well as 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his beloved wife Jean, and his grandson, Morgan Curry. Private services were held on February 1st and a memorial mass is being offered at Corpus Christi Church, the family's former parish. The family's heartfelt appreciation goes out to TLC Hospice in Moorpark and Belmont Village in Thousand Oaks for their wonderful care.
