December 21, 1916 - May 8, 2014 Born in Los Angeles to Jordan and Genevieve Neel, Jack attended Hoover High School and UCLA, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. Jack served his country proudly in the Army Air Corps during World War II and continued his service in the Air Force Reserves. He enjoyed a wonderful career spanning almost 40 years with Western Airlines, starting as a baggage handler and retiring in 1982 as Senior Vice President. Married for over 69 years to his beloved and much adored wife, Rosemary, with whom he raised his children Susan, Doug, Megan and Elizabeth in Palos Verdes Estates. Jack and Rosemary built their retirement home in Montecito, where they were members of Montecito Country Club. In 2004 they returned to Palos Verdes Estates to be closer to family. He was a passionate gardener, golfer, and Bruins fan, always respected for his kindness and integrity. In addition to his loving wife and children, Jack is survived by 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a large extended family.
