GRAF, Justin Of Westwood, California, passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2013 at the age of 89. Justin is survived by his loving and beautiful wife of 35 years Meril, and he became the person he was because of the deep, abiding love and happiness they shared. Together they travelled the world, built a beautiful home by the ocean which was the family gathering place, and enjoyed the beach, their children, their nine grandchildren and each other to the fullest. A WWII veteran, UCLA graduate and retired tax attorney, Justin was a passionate and life-long learner, from his undergraduate days at UCLA, to law school and the Plato Society. He read deeply and voraciously, played bridge competitively, and was devoted to the Bruins. Justin was surrounded in life by his loving family: his wife Meril, his children Tom, Ruth and David, his son-in-law Carl and daughter-in-law Elaine, his stepchildren Susan, Rick and Nancy, daughter-in-law Karen and son-in-law Gene, his devoted grandchildren Alex, Matthew, Zach, Ashley, Nick, Brian, Allison, Graham and Sam, his nephew Allan and wife Marge, and other loving family and friends. Services will be private. Please send contributions in Justin's memory to Heal the Bay.
