PERKAL, Lee Irwin Jan. 12, 1926- Nov. 14, 2012 Lee touched the lives of many people from his family, friends, and neighbors to his many clients as their attorney. His family moved to California in 1935. He went to Fairfax High School where he made many friends for life. In June 1943 he enlisted in Army Air Corps. After the war he went to UCLA and then Loyola Law School. He was a successful and talented trial attorney for 40 years. He was a Commissioner on the Los Angeles Narcotics & Dangerous Drugs Commission from 1971 to 1993. After retirement he continued to be active in his community as a Volunteer Escort at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. He married Joan Ruman in 1955 and had two children. In 1991 he married the love of his life Patricia Irons. He was a devoted husband and father who treated his wife as if they were still honeymooners. He raised his children with fierce pride. He taught them to be strong, self-confident adults who care about others just as he had done. He is survived by his wife Patricia, his children Melissa and Adam, his son- and daughter-in-law Jim Graham and Sylvia Baker and his granddaughters Aubrey, Allison, and Lily and his niece and nephew Caron and Richard Perkal. You were an awesome man. Your family is grateful for all the ways helped us grow. Your loving presence in our lives has meant more to us than anyone couldathom. We are so proud and lucky to have you as a husband and father. We will love you and miss you always.
