Martha Bunch Lawrence, known to her friends and family as Tawny, died Monday July 28, 2014 following a severe stroke. Martha Bunch was born November 3, 1929 in Shenandoah, IA and moved to LA to attend UCLA. Tawny had a love of all animals, with a special attraction for horses. She founded the Tarzana Pony Club in Tarzana, California, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to teaching young people proper care and safe handling and riding of horses. An accomplished Dressage rider, Eventing competitor, and member of the West Hills Hunt. She will be remembered for her strong character, her love of animals, and her feisty, non-compliant approach to life. A memorial celebration of her life will be held August 16, at her son's home in Agoura, California.
