December 12, 1927 - December 1, 2013 Masato Arisumi, a veteran of the Korean War and 52-year resident of Torrance, was born on Maui, Hawaii, to Aikichi and Masu Arisumi. He was a member of the Kalama Hawaii Club. He also enjoyed working in his garage and took great pleasure in gardening. In later years, fishing in Alaska brought him much joy. Masato is survived by his wife, Ethel Arisumi; daughter, Lynne Arakawa (Mark); grandchildren, Ryan and Kristin; son, Glenn (Sharon); brothers, Hiroshi, John, Mitsuo (Eleanor), Tady (Sandra), and Joe; sisters, Aiko (Fred) Yamashige and Tokie (Sachio) Taira; brother-in-law, Ronald Fukami, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held on December 21, 2013, at 11a.m. at Green Hills Memorial Park, 27501 S. Western Ave., Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275. Family requests casual attire and no flowers.
