July 1, 1922 - January 27, 2014 Olive Althea Hall, Ph.D., 91, of Los Angeles, California, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, January 27, 2014. She was born and raised in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Richard and Mabel (Wood) Hall. Olive has resided in California since the late 50's. She was a College Professor at UCLA and then El Camino College among various other schools throughout her early years. She dedicated her life to education and philanthropy. Olive was also active with her Brentwood Presbyterian Church. Olive is survived by her sister, Viola Hall of Syracuse; her cousin, Carolyn Wood of Fredonia, NY and her longtime friend and conservator, Tony Guma of Los Angeles. A memorial service will be held at Brentwood Presbyterian Church on Saturday, February 15th at 10am. Contributions in Olive's memory may be made to
