July 14, 1920 - August 15, 2014 Reuben Weiner, beloved father, grandfather, uncle and friend, passed away on August 15, 2014. He was a decorated World War II veteran awarded the Bronze Star for heroism. He served with the 82nd Airborne Division as a combat photographer parachuting into France before the D-Day landings and through the concentration camps and the end of European operations. Following the war he worked for Paramount Studios as a photographer and later in his own studio. In the late 40's with his father and brother he started Weiner Iron and Metal where he worked for fifty years. He is survived by his children Andrew and Terry Weiner, Barbara Weiner and Nancie Weiner, his grandchildren Joseph Weiner, Melinda Weiner, Matthew Weiner and Paula Lipka, his sister-in-law Madeline Richman, brother-in-law Morris Richman, nephews Lee and Karen Richman, Mark Richman, Andrew and Susan Richman and extended family and friends to numerous to mention. Funeral arrangements will be held at Hillside Memorial Park located at 6001 W. Centinela Avenue in Los Angeles, California on Monday August 18, 2014 at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to the Disabled American Vets.
