July 29, 1920 - January 6, 2014 Bob Lodge, age 93, of Los Angeles CA, passed away peacefully on January 6th. Devoted and caring husband of Joy, nee Stein; son of the late Beatrice Cohn and Harry Levy; loving father of John (Jamie) Lodge, the late Cathy Lodge, Thomas (Janet), Lodge; cherished grandfather of David, Kimberly, James, and Matthew Lodge; special brother-in-law of Richard Stein (Susanne Lovell), Carol Stein, the late Audrey Redfearn; adored cousin to the late Ed and Joan Teller; loved by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Born in Chicago, IL and a graduate from Hyde Park High School and University of Illinois. Proudly served his country and the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. Dedicated his professional life with his passion for pioneering inventions and business development of environmental climate control systems for many commercial and residential structures that brought comfort to many people globally. Honored as a Fellow by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). Memorial service Friday January 10th at 10:30AM at Leo Baeck Temple, 1300 North Sepulveda Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90049. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lambs Farm, 14245 W. Rockland Rd, Libertyville, IL 60048, www.lambsfarm.org or to charities of individual discretion.
