Agnes B. Fancovic MYERSTOWN Agnes B. Fancovic, 97, formerly of Lebanon, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 5, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of John Fancovic, who preceded her in death in February 1984. Born in Lebanon, on September 21, 1915, Agnes was a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Hicking) Schlegel. She was a member of Mary Gate of Heaven, Myerstown, and a former member of St. Benedict's (St. Cyril Methodius) of Lebanon. She was also a member of the Verbena Club, Goodwill of Myerstown, and the Myerstown VFW. Agnes, fondly known as Grandma Cove to her many friends and family, was an avid bingo player and volunteered many years at the St. Benedict's Bingo. She and her husband John built six houses together. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going to the casinos. She is survived by three children, Agnes Bender of Myerstown, with whom she lived, John, husband of Peggy of Lovettesville, Va., and Ronald, husband of Sheila of Yucca Valley, Calif.; 10 grandchildren, Denise, wife of Barry Thomas of Myerstown, Max, husband of Kristin Bender of Myerstown, David, husband of Karen Bender of Mountville, Cindy, wife of Rob Rachilla of Mt. Top, Kelly Womack of Ashburn, Va., Tracey, wife of Ted Kramer of Ashburn, Va., Jamie, wife of Bob Brunetti, Ashburn, Va., Bobbie Savage of Meridian, Idaho, Jan, wife of Scott Prochaska of Meridian, Idaho, and Laura, wife of Alex Smith of Meridian, Idaho; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Edward Schlegel of Lebanon and William Schlegel of California; one sister, Elizabeth Darone of California; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and John Schlegel; and four sisters, Ann Reiley, Cecelia Gristick, Mary Bentz, and Dorothy Burch. Funeral Mass Wednesday morning 11 a.m. at Mary Gate of Heaven, 188 W. McKinley Ave., Myerstown 17067. Visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday morning at the church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
