Daisy Yeagley TAVARES, FL Daisy Mae Elizabeth (Schreffler) Yeagley, the beloved wife of Harry Robert Yeagley, went home to Jesus on April 12, 2013. She had just had her 92nd Birthday. Daisy is survived by husband Harry, her three sons by previous marriage, six grandchildren and six great-grandsons. Daisy had three daughters by marriage, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Daisy was born in Lower Mahanoy, on April 10, 1921, to Jay and Susan Schreffler, (one of three girls, Mary, Daisy, Phyllis, and four brothers, Melvin, Mark, Nevin, Dean). Daisy was a Graduate of Berrysburg High School and was Co-Valedictorian for her class. During WWII Daisy joined the U.S. Coast Guard, on June 7, 1944 and was honorably discharged June 30, 1946. Daisy and Harry were married August 11, 1965, a marriage that lasted for 47 years at her death. Daisy worked for the U.S. Air Force as a Secretary, at Olmstead AFB Middletown Pa., and at Andrews AFB Maryland where she was executive Secretary for the Officer Commanding the Weather Wing and Passenger Terminal. She could look out her window at Air Force One, and met personally five Presidents. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #2 in Washington, D.C. Daisy and Harry loved to travel and toured the U.S. and Europe whenever possible. They were "Snowbirds" until finally deciding to make Florida their home, living in Leesburg, and finally in Tavares. Memorial services will be held on Monday, April 22, 2013, at 2 p.m. from the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home, Rt. 72 & Camp Meeting Rd. Jonestown. Inurnment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
