Edwin C. Stoner RICHLAND Edwin "Ed" Stoner, 71, formerly of Enola, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014, in the Lebanon Good Samaritan Hospital with his loving wife by his side. Born October 5, 1942, in West Fairview, he was the son of the late Howard W. and Evelyn F. (Martin) Stoner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn M. (Rhinehart) Stoner, and four sisters, Naomi, Patricia, Lois, and Aileen. Surviving are his wife, Ruth (Cole) Behney Stoner; daughter, Lisa M. Raves and husband, Donald of New Cumberland, and their son, Zac; son, Denton M. Stoner of Camp Hill; son, George L. Behney, Jr. and wife, Rebekah of Elkton, Md., and their children, Isabella, George Joseph, and Victoria; son, Gregory L. Behney and wife, Sherrie of Myerstown, and their children, Joshua and Lindsay; sister, Loretta Comp and husband, Marlin of Enola; brother, Terry Stoner and wife, Cheryl of Duncannon; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. Ed was a 1962 graduate of Central Dauphin High School and served in the Army during the Vietnam War where he received several citations for marksmanship. Ed retired as an Operations Manager from Houck Services, Inc. of Harrisburg after 35 years of service. He was an avid golfer and bowler, and also enjoyed throwing horseshoes and hunting with close friends in Renovo and Clearfield. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 7, 2014, in the Enola Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 22 Salt Road, Enola 17025. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service. Private inurnment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central PA, 745 W. Governor Road, Hershey, PA 17033.
