Ervin C. Hamme ELIZABETHTOWN Ervin Cleveland Hamme, 87, passed away with family by his side on Saturday, November 10, 2012, at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Nadine V. (Neff) Hamme. He was born April 23, 1925, in Paradise, to the late Ervin and Jennie (Leib) Hamme. Ervin was a high school graduate of Milton Hershey Industrial School, and furthered his education with a Bachelor degree from Penn State University. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps in World War II. He retired from the Hershey Chocolate Company after almost 25 years of dedicated service. Ervin was a member of the Brownstone Masonic Lodge 666 and of the Harrisburg Consistory. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, and loved dining out with friends and family. Most importantly he was a loving husband, father, and Pop Pop. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jay Hamme and wife, Lori of McGregor, Texas; three daughters, Jayne Meischker and husband, Ronald of Somers Point, N.J., Jenni Fackler and husband, Jay of Harrisburg, and Jill Hamme of Palmyra; two grandsons, Joel Fackler and Scott Hamme; and a sister, Pauline Sipling of York. He was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, November 13, at 1 p.m. at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078, with the Rev. David Tietje officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation from noon until time of the service. Burial will follow with full military honors in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
