Lamar Heintselman Obituary
Lamar C. Heintzelman MYERSTOWN Lamar C. Heintzelman, 85, died Saturday, January 18, 2014, at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of Verna M. (Troutman) Heintzelman, who died June 15, 2007. Born in Dalmatia, PA on June 18, 1928, he was the son of the late Irvin and Gertie (Ceiders) Heintzelman. A member of St. John's Church, Mt. Aetna, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed as a pressman at DANA Corporation, Reading, for 37 years retiring in 1991, and was employed part time at the Myerstown Sewage Plant. He was a member of the Richland American Legion Post 880, the Mt. Aetna Fire Company, and enjoyed mowing grass. He is survived by a son, Richard Heintzelman of Myerstown; a sister, Lorraine Zimmerman of Ephrata; brothers, Kermit Heintzelman of Hamburg, Harold Heintzelman of Hamburg; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Heintzelman in 1989; and a brother, Robert Heintzelman. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 24, 2014 at 2 p.m. from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, preceded by a viewing beginning at 1 p.m. Interment at Mt. Aetna Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Johns Church, P.O. Box 195, Mt.
