Richard E. Geistwite Obituary
Richard E. Geistwite LEBANON Richard Eugene Geistwite, 78, passed away peacefully February 9, 2013. He was born July 2, 1934, in Pillow, PA to Theodore Benjamin and Helen Elizabeth Gutshall Geistwite. On June 7, 1964, he married the love of his life, Catherine Louise (Kit) Williams Geistwite who survives at home. He is also survived by a brother, John (Dixie), Linglestown and his two children, Jeffrey E. Geistwite of Big Fork, MT and Jennifer L. Wardius (Jay) of Kennett Square, three grandchildren Collin, Ayden, and Jay Wardius, 12 nieces and nephews, and nine great nieces and nephews. Rich served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War then retired after working 35 years for Sherwin-Williams. He served on the councils for Salem Lutheran Church, Lebanon and Zion Lutheran Church, Sunbury and taught Sunday school for many years. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, putting together puzzles, and his greatest joy was spending time with his grandsons who made him laugh every time they were together. A service celebrating Rich's life will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. from the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville with Rev. John Whitman officiating and will be laid to rest with Full Military Honors at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
