LEBANON Ruth R. Patterson, 85, formerly of Myerstown and Hershey, died Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at ManorCare Health Services, Lebanon. She was the wife of John D. Patterson who died January 5, 2004. Born in Union Bridge, Md., on August 6, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Reba (Bowman) Ritter. She graduated from high school in Washington, N.J., and briefly attended Juniata College in Huntingdon. Most of her life was dedicated to caring for her family but was later employed as a secretary at Penn State University, State College, for several years. She is survived by a daughter, Barbie and her husband Bill Goebel of Maxwell, N.M.; sons, Rob Neff and his partner Rene Maisonneuve of Palm Bay, Fla., Dave and his wife Cathye Neff of Gunnison, Colo.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sister, Bernice and her husband Duane Alpaugh of Washington, N.J.; and a niece and two nephews. A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 24, 2012, at 3 p.m. from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown. There will be no viewing or visitation. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to
