Shirley M. Long CORNWALL Shirley M. Long, 79, formerly of Cleona, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of Robert L. Long, with whom she celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary in January 2013. Born in Wilkinsburg, on September 11, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and C. Marie Stoops Crawford. She graduated from Wilkinsburg High School and Indiana State Teachers College and attended Penn State University. Shirley was a Kindergarten Teacher for the Derry Twp. School and was a substitute teacher for the Annville-Cleona and Cornwall-Lebanon School Districts. She also tutored for the IU13 and privately. Shirley was an active member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church in Cleona where she was a Sunday School Teacher, was on the Administrative Board, choir, the Pastor-Parrish Relations, and Bazaar Committees. She was also a camp counselor and a former member of the Cleona Women's Club. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Christopher D. Long and wife, Kelly of Hummelstown; a daughter, Andrea L. Long of Palmyra; and four grandchildren, Collin, Kaylor, Karina, and Camryn Long. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. from the Immanuel United Methodist Church, 29 E. Maple St., Cleona, PA 17042. Interment will be held in Gingrich Mennonite Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday night from 6:30 to 8 p.m. from the Kreamer Funeral Home & Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville, PA 17003.
