Arthur C. Day Delta Twp. Age 86, our loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away January 16, 2013. Born October 20, 1926 in DeWitt, MI. Arthur served with the U.S. Army during WW II. He founded Furman-Day Real Estate and later the Arthur Day Company. For the last 35 years, he was the owner and operator of Arthur Day Tax and Accounting. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1039, Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. #196, 40 et 8, Masonic Lodge, American Legion in Bath, Loyal Order of Moose, Lions Club, Lansing Board of Realtor, and was a life member of V.F.W. Post #671 of DeWitt. Arthur is survived by his seven children, Darwin (Sheila) Day, Barry (Julie) Day, Arthur Jr. (Rebecca) Day, Karen (Mickey) Meahl, Sharen (Lyle) Root, Sue Dyer, and Cheryl (Stuart) Willard; 26 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; and his special companion, Estella Cardenas. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Joyce E. Day in 1997, and his son-in-law, John Dyer. Visitation is from 12:00 to 3:00 P.M. Sunday with services 3:00 P.M. January 20th in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. A wake will follow at the V.F.W. Post #617 of DeWitt, 12250 N. US 27, DeWitt, MI.
