Donald Harold Moore Charlotte Donald Harold Moore, 86, of Charlotte, Michigan passed away October 31, 2013 at Sensations Memory Care in Charlotte. Mr. Moore was born July 23, 1927 in Flint, Michigan. He graduated from Charlotte High School in 1946, married Charlene Laverty, and joined the Navy. He served his country until his honorable discharge in 1949 and then returned home to his wife. He and Charlene lived in Potterville, then Charlotte and raised 3 lovely children. Don attended Michigan State University and Kansas State University and then managed 3 Jury Rowe Furniture Stores in Lansing. He also worked at Behlen Manufacturing, Nebraska and Kongskilde, Canada and farmed his land for ten years. He was a member of the Charlotte Country Club, Eagles and American Legion. Don was a big sports fan and avid golfer. He was a family man and loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Donald is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Charlene; daughters, Connie Burgess of East Lansing and Candace (Ron) Karr of Atlanta, Michigan; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his son Rocco Moore and his adoptive mother Alta (Shumaker) Moore-Latorre. Memorial contributions are suggested to Eaton Community Palliative Care.
