Dwinell "Jim" Counseller Melbourne, FL Age 86, formerly of Laingsburg, MI passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013 in Florida. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Laingsburg Chapel. Burial to follow in the Rose Cemetery Bath, MI. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6-8 pm. Jim was born on October 18, 1927 in St. Johns, MI the son of Vern and Leona (Walker) Counseller. He married Amy Meridith in Lansing, MI on September 4, 1953. Jim served in the U.S. Navy during WWII aboard the USS Trippe and was involved in the Atomic Bomb Testing. Prior to his retirement Jim was a salesman for Barker-Fowler Electric. He is survived by son: Richard (Marie) Grandy, daughters: Marilyn (Don) Ferrigan, Carolyn (Norm) Geller, and April (Lance) Rumpel; 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Amy in 2000, son: Robert in 1999, brother: Duane Counseller, sisters: Eileen Meyers and Belva Keith.
