Elaine Pullen Ball East Lansing Elaine Pullen Ball, 87, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Monday November 12th. She was born on April 30, 1925 in Detroit, MI, to the late Edwin and Anne (neé Pullen) Smith. Elaine was a highly accomplished woman, receiving both her BA and MA degrees from Michigan State University. She was a teacher for 30 years and dedicated many years of her life to volunteer work. Elaine instilled in her children and grandchildren a love for learning and music. She was a second-generation Spartan, a lifelong fan, and a lifelong member of the Delta Zeta Sorority, always cheering for the Green and White. Living under the same roof with and down the street from most of her grandchildren, her happiest moments were spending time with family. Elaine was preceded in death just seven months ago by her beloved husband Andrew Robinson Ball Jr. She is survived by her four children: Colin (Johanna) Keyworth, Curtis Keyworth, Karen (Fuad Al-Kabour) Keyworth, and Deborah (Frank Loforese) Keyworth. Five stepchildren: Robyn Ball, LaVonne Digby, Curtis Ball, Christopher (Deborah) Ball, and Brian Ball. Twelve Grandchildren: Dave Siple, Katie (Brian) Hayes, Sarah (Richard) Cunningham, Kerry Jo Keyworth, Amanda (Sean) Gleason, Shelby Keyworth, Sarah (Michael Butler) Al-Kabour, Mohammed Al-Kabour, Maryam Al-Kabour, Hannah (Fahed Al-Asayi) Al-Kabour, Haley (S.O. Tyler Sifton) Keyworth Perez, and Benjamin Keyworth Perez, and six great-grandchildren. A Remembrance will be held Tuesday, November 20th 2012, at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center from 6:00p.m.-9:00p.m.
