Glenn D. Carnes Lansing Age 89, our loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather was called home to his Lord on November 8, 2013. Born October 24, 1924 in Bluffton, IN. Glenn was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in WW II. He retired as State Adjutant of the Michigan Department of Veteran of Foreign Wars after many years of service. He was a life member of V.F.W. Post #3727 of Holt, and the Military Order of Cooties. He enjoyed golfing and bowling Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Edith E. Carnes; 2 daughters, Judy (Robert) Warden, and Joyce (Richard) Pearson; 4 grandchildren William (Annette) Warden, Teresa (Jason) DeMers, Joshua Warden, and Daniel (Amber) Warden; 6 great-grandchildren; many step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Williams; 2 brothers, Delmer (Dorothy) Carnes, and Gene (Diane) Carnes; several nieces, nephews, and friends. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents Florence & Homer Sr.; 2 sisters, Kathy, and Della; 4 brothers, Armor, Donald, Alvin, and Homer Jr. Visitation is from 2-4, 6-8 P.M. Monday with services 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 12, in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing with Pastor Dave Sincox of Olivet Baptist Church officiating. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made to Eaton Community Palliative Care, or Olivet Baptist Church in memory of Glenn.
