Gloria Jean "Jeanie" Walker Our beloved Gloria Jean "Jeanie" Walker went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 22, 2014. She born October 5, 1948 in Curtis, Arkansas to Willie Fred and Odiest Duncan. Gloria attended Peake High School in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and completed her education after moving to Lansing, Michigan in 1965. In her spare time Gloria enjoyed many sports but none better than softball and bowling. She found everlasting love in her beloved soul mate, James Isaac Walker "Mott". She was a faithful employee of General Motors for over thirty years, finally retiring in 2000. In her retirement she became and enjoyed being a CNA. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents Willie Fred and Odiest Duncan and 3 brothers, Marvin, Hollis and Riley Duncan. She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted soulmate, James Isaac Walker; children, Valerie (Timothy) Allen, Reginald Duncan, James Duncan and Doris (Steve) Harris; grandchildren, Ortease, Ryan, Ta'Moni, Jasmine, Reginald Jr. (Julianna), James II, Angela, Raymond, Tosia, Jessica, Kaleb, Shamva, Timothy Jr. and Naomi; great grandchildren, Ortease Jr., Ortasia, Jayden, Ore'veal and Brycen; siblings, Pastor Cora Duncan, Fred Duncan, Betty Giles, Martha (Joe) Miles, Clarence Duncan, Terry (Lisa) Duncan and Ann (Thomas) Douglas; special nephew, Keith Duncan, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Family hour will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Lansing Church of God In Christ, 5304 Wise Road with funeral commencing at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Aaron Milton will officiate with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
