James "Jimmy" Locke Eaton Rapids Passed away surrounded by his family and friends, February 21, 2014 at the age of 45 after a long battle with ALS. Jimmy was born in Eaton Rapids, July 29, 1968 the son of Larry and Beverly (Squires) Locke. He graduated from Eaton Rapids High School in 1987. Jimmy worked as a truck driver, diesel mechanic and was a volunteer fireman with the Eaton Rapids Fire Department for 13 years. While his passion was fire fighting, he also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Jimmy loved the University of Michigan and the family requests that friends wear U of M or fire fighter attire during the funeral. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Ann Locke of Eaton Rapids; sons, Andrew and Camren Locke of Eaton Rapids; father, Lawrence Locke of Eaton Rapids; brothers, Wayne Locke, Kenneth (Julie) Locke, both of Eaton Rapids; sister, Deborah Hartwell Locke of Lansing; brothers-in-law, James (Missy) Scott, Chris (Tammie) Scott, Steve Scott, all of Eaton Rapids; parents-in-law, James (Sandra) Scott of Eaton Rapids; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly (Squires) Locke. Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Wesleyan Church, 6044 S. Clinton Tr. Eaton Rapids. Visitation will be at the Shelly-Odell Funeral Home, 518 S. Main St. Eaton Rapids, Monday from 6-8 pm and Tuesday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm.
