Jim Faraone Obituary

Jim R. Faraone Lansing Jim was born on July 25, 1931 to Joseph and Mary Faraone. His marriage to Rosemary occurred in December 1959. Jim had immense pride in his children, Suzanne Gordon and Peter (Sharon) Genix, not only for their many accomplishments, but for their outstanding character. Jim also leaves a wonderful sister, Theresa. Jim graduated from Lansing Technical High School, then furthered his education at Valparaiso Technical Institute, earning his degree in Electronics. Additional education took place at the RCA Institute, NYC. Jim's military service, as a proud Marine, was during the Korean conflict. His career span of 33 years was with the Dept. of Communication Arts and Sciences at MSU. Some of Jim's happiest summer moments were spent at his condo in Charlevoix on Lake Michigan, watching spectacular sunrises with a cup of coffee in his hand. Evenings were also enjoyed watching the ever changing and stunning sunsets over the lake. Colder months found Jim and Rosemary at their home in Sun City West, Arizona. While in Arizona, beautiful and colorful flower and rose garden beds were created in his backyard, which were enjoyed not only by Jim and Rosemary, but also their neighbors. Also, a passion for cooking was indulged. He hosted many dinners where he would serve his famous meatloaves and soups. And Sunday night was reserved for his, made from scratch, outstanding pizzas. Jim's final sunset arrived November 15, 2012. Goodnight, Sweet Prince. Jim's body has been cremated. There will be no memorial services.

Rosemary - I am so sorry for your loss. Jim and I always got along very well at the station and we all counted on him to do the best job with our videotapes. I didn't know he was such a good chef. I wish you peace and wonderful memories.
