John Charles Bloswick Lansing Went to his heavenly home on January 23, 2013 at the age of 73. John was born June 2, 1939 to John B. and Ruby (Smith) Bloswick on Mackinac Island, Michigan. John served in the United States Navy and was active in the Navy Reserves until he retired with the rank of Commander. After graduating from Michigan Technological University, he was employed by the State of Michigan as an electrical engineer until his retirement. His deep love of boats and the water provided many adventures in his retirement including the establishment of the museum ship U.S.C.G. Maple in Saint Ignace, Michigan. He will be remembered as a loving and caring husband, father, son, and brother. John is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ann (Raymond) Bloswick; mother, Ruby (Smith) Bloswick; daughters, Mary (Thomas Sample) Bloswick and Becky (Jerre) Thompson; grandchildren, Aaron, Ashley, Elijah and Isaiah; brothers, Frank (Alice) Bloswick and Clark Bloswick; and several nephews and a niece. He was preceded in death by his father, John B. Bloswick, and brother Chris Bloswick, Sr. The family will receive friends at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing, MI on Saturday January 26, 2013 from 2-4, and 6-8p.m. Funeral services will be held in Saint Ignace on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 1p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the
