John Joseph (JJ) Trieloff East Lansing Beloved brother and uncle, John died Wednesday, June 5, 2013, after a short illness and will be missed dearly by his family and friends. John was born in Detroit March 5, 1946 to Herbert and Thelma Trieloff and grew up in Romeo, MI. He served in the U.S. Army after graduating from Western Michigan University. After attending graduate school at Michigan State University, John was a career employee at the State of Michigan working on energy conservation projects across the state. John was a lifelong athlete and participated in many sports, but he especially loved playing golf. John is survived by his sister, Diane Appel (Walter) and his brother, William (Bill) Trieloff (Kellie Scutt), sister-in-law Peggy Dorn Trieloff; his nieces, Laura Appel (Gary Garbarino) and Caren Gawlak (Scott); nephews, Scott Trieloff (Jonell) and Jason Trieloff (Leslie) and several great nieces and nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and his nephew, Brian Trieloff. John will be missed by a wide circle of friends from the CASS golf league, the Parkwood YMCA and his former coworkers. Many friends showed kindness and care to John during his illness. The family is especially grateful to Rick and Deb Doubrava, and Frank and Madeline DeLuca for their support. A memorial celebration of John's life will be held later this summer.
