Joseph Michael Braska Obituary
Joseph Michael Braska St. Johns Joseph Michael Braska was born April 22, 1949, passed away November 17, 2012 at the age of 63 years young. Joe worked for General Motors for 32 years before retiring in 1999. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoying many deer hunters' balls in celebration of deer season. He had a sense of humor and contagious smile that will not be forgotten. Joe and his son Jeremy had numerous fun times together including Nascar, Silver Lake Sand Dunes, and bowling partners in the Special Olympics. Joe and Jeremy had a bond that will always be remembered and treasured. Joe is survived by his loving wife, Judith, and special buddy and son, Jeremy. Also surviving him are his daughters, Sheila (Craig) Dennis and Lisa Braska and sons Joe Jr (Kim), John (Carrie), Jeff, James, and Justin as well as their children. Joe also leaves behind his siblings: Stan (Marlene) Braska, Pat (Richard) Thelen, Mary Jane (Tom) Simon, Joanne Carmody, Teresa (Charlie) Hurd, Angie (Les) Sewell, Chris (Will) Robinson, and Steve Braska. He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of their children, Mary Braska and parents, Stanley and Mary Braska. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at The Catholic Community of St. Jude, 801 Bridge Street, in DeWitt, at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 21st with Fr. Lawrence R. Delaney presiding with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow in Rose Cemetery, Bath. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 on Tuesday, November 20th at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes DeWitt Chapel, 205 E. Washington, with the vigil service being prayed at 7:30.
