Judith Ann Monroe Grand Ledge Judith Ann Monroe of Grand Ledge passed away October 20, 2012 at home surrounded by her family. Judith was born August 29, 1947 in Flint, Michigan to the late William and Ethel (Becky) Wingert. She was a graduate of Michigan State University and was a Grand Ledge Hayes Middle School teacher for thirty-two years. Judith was an active member of the Wacousta Community United Methodist Church and regular donor for the Red Cross Blood drives. Her greatest joy was her family, spending time with grandchildren and her best friend Harvey. She was a kind, giving individual and genuinely cared for others. She is survived by her husband of over twenty-eight years, Harvey; children, Tyler and Tricia (Froehlich) Mance, Kelly Sheppard, Carol Peake, Pam Dalrymple, Mike Monroe; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; siblings, Diann Wingert, John Wingert, Linda Levely, Bill Wingert and Mary Jergenson. Judith was preceded in death by grandson, Erick Monroe. The family will receive friends for a memorial gathering Saturday, October 27, 2012, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the memorial service at 12:00 P.M. at the Wacousta Community United Methodist Church with The Reverend Lyle Heaton, officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to the church or the Mid-Michigan Chapter of the Red Cross.
