Keith Verne LaBare

Eaton Rapids

Keith Verne LaBare, 71, of Eaton Rapids, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, July 14, 2014.  Keith was born September 29, 1942 in Lansing, MI, the son of Verne Leroy and Elsie Marcella (Brownell) LaBare.  After high school, Keith purchased his first truck, thus beginning 50 years of owning/operating Potpouri Trucking Company.  He was a very loving, kind and generous man that believed in hard work and perseverance.  Many will remember him for his integrity, both in business and his personal life.  Keith was an abundantly loving dad, brother, grandfather, uncle and Marilyn's best friend.  He and Marilyn enjoyed many winters in Florida and traveling the country in their RV. 

Keith is survived by his beloved Marilyn LaBare; children, Stacie (Mark) Gay, David LaBare, Dan (Renee) Wilson, David (Elizabeth) Wilson and Dianne Carlisle; grandchildren, Samantha, Kendra and Kimber Gay, Julia and Lacey LaBare, Tahlia Wilson, Cameron and Shane Wilson, and Tyler and Colin Wilson; sister Karla (Larry) Martzke; brother-in-law, Ron Kemp; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Keith is predeceased by his beloved parents; sister, Sue Kemp along with special friend, RW. 

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Pray Funeral Home in Charlotte with Pastor David Mutschler officiating.  Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2014 and 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday just prior to the service.  Interment will take place at a later date at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Lansing.  Memorial contributions may be made to The .
